Obituary of Grace C Lukasiewicz

Please share a memory of Grace to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Grace Lukasiewicz passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 2, 2019 in Millstone, NJ. She was predeceased by her loving husband, John. She is survived by her son John, and his wife Susan; and her son, Richard. She is fondly remembered by her eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Richard & his wife, Myrna; and Malcolm.

In 1926, Grace was born in Queens, NY where she grew up with her two brothers before relocating to Staten Island, NY. She was a librarian at Lady Star of the Sea for over twenty years. Grace was an avid reader. When she wasn’t reading, you could always find her watching Blue Bloods or News 12. Her family could always count on her to send a timely birthday card in the mail. Later in life, she and her husband retired to Florida before moving back to the Northeast to be closer to their family.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 7-9 pm. The funeral will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church in Freehold, followed by burial at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Cemetery, Wrightstown.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Grace Lukasiewicz may be directed to Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Foundation, 23 Main St., Suite D1, Holmdel, NJ 07733 or www.vnahg.org.
