Obituary of Andrew D'Angelo

Andrew “Andy” D’Angelo, 85 of Manalapan passed away on Sunday, January 20th at the Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ.  He was born and raised in Brooklyn before settling in Manalapan 7 years ago.   Andy was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict.   He was the owner of Dainty Dress and Party Gym of Brooklyn before retiring.    Andy was a member of the Knights of Columbus Prince of Peace Council, Englishtown, NJ.

He is predeceased by his granddaughter Laura Crowley.  Andy is survived by his loving wife Josephine; daughter Josephine Crowley (Colin); daughter Roseanne Mazzola (John); son Andrew D’Angelo (Elisa); daughter Maria Maniscalco (Anthony); sister Josephine DeRise (Raymond); Grandchildren Colleen (Charles), Christina, Angela, John Anthony, Nicole, Michael, Vincent, Michael, Joseph, Jack, Stephen, Sabrina and Andrew. 

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 22nd, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, NJ.  A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, January 23rd at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan.  Entombment to follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro.  Donations can be made in memory of Andy to the Alzheimer’s Association 23 Vreeland Rd Suite 105, Florham Park, NJ 07932 or  www.alz.org.  To leave a condolence or find directions, visit www.freemanfuneralhomes.com.
