Obituary of Joseph Walter O'Neill

Joseph Walter O’Neill, 79, of Freehold passed away at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Twp.  Born in Long Branch, he grew up in Fair Haven and lived in Freehold for over 50 years.  Joseph was an insurance agent for Allstate Insurance in Manalapan.   He was a member of the Hikers of Monmouth County Parks and Recreation, a devoted parishioner of St. Rose Of Lima Church, an avid biker and enjoyed spending time at the shore with his family.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Peggy and siblings Walter Jr., Jane and Robert O’Neill.  He is survived by his loving wife Maryann and two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Tracy Freudenberger O’Neill of Allentown, NJ; and Christopher and Emily Penney O’Neill of Glen Ridge, NJ and 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey, Colin, Maggie and Keira.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 22nd from 2-4, 7-9pm at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold with a funeral Liturgy Wednesday, 10:00 am at St. Rose of Lima R.C.Church, Freehold.
