Obituary of Charles Joseph Vasile

Charles Joseph Vasile, 84, of Manalapan, NJ passed away, Wednesday, January 9, 2019, surrounded by his loving family and the caring staff of the Venetian Care & Rehabilitation Center.

Charles was born on November 6, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph and Anna Vasile.  He graduated from New Utrecht High School in 1952 where he was a member of the football team.  On September 4, 1954, he married his wife Barbara Franchina.  Charles and Barbara remained in Brooklyn with their son and two daughters until they moved to Manalapan, NJ in 1965.  He commuted into New York City where he worked in the financial district until his retirement.  During his free time, Charles loved to golf at the local country club, watch the New York Giants and spend time with his children and grandchildren.

Charles is survived by wife Barbara, son Charles, daughters Barbara Ann and Cathy as well as their husbands Tino and Wayne, granddaughters Nicole and Danielle, great-grandsons Caden and Cole, nieces and nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019, at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.
