Obituary of James Weil

James Robert Weil, 86, of Manalapan passed away on November 10, 2018, at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ.  He was born in Newark and resided in Manalapan for the past 55 years. James served in the Navy during the Korean War and worked as a specialist at the American Stock Exchange in NYC prior to his retirement.  He was an avid reader and loved to travel with his beloved wife Rita and children.  He was a host to many family gatherings over the years and coached his boys in various sporting events.  Jim was a true family man.  

Mr. Weil was predeceased by his wife, Rita in 2018, his son, James; and two brothers, Robert and Michael.  He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Nancy; Kevin and Elaine; a daughter-in-law, Christine; sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Thomas Oppel; sister-in-law, Rosemary Weil; and 10 grandchildren, James, Brian, Lindsay, Thomas, Ryan, Gregory, Alyssa, Kevin, Matthew, Christina.

Friends and family are invited on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00pm at the Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan with a funeral Liturgy on Wednesday, November 14, at 10:30 at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, Marlboro.  Interment is private.
