Obituary of Charles Frank Moorefield

Charles Frank (Tex) Moorefield, 88 of Manalapan, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold.  He was born in Leaksville, NC and resided in the Freehold Manalapan area most of his life.   Mr. Moorefield served in the Navy during the Korean War and worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Freehold until his retirement in 1980 and also worked as a bus driver for the Manalapan Township Board of Education.

Charles was predeceased by his wife, Barbara; his grandson, Kienan Moorefield and his sister, Doris Biddle.  He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Thomas and Corinne Moorefield; his daughter, Carollee Moorefield and her partner Paul Colte; his daughter and son in law, Tracy and Jeffrey Baran; six grandchildren, Charles and his partner Gina Miraglia, Nicholas, Kaitlin, Connor, Jonathan & Christopher; and two great grandchildren, Dillon & Carter.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  There will be a funeral service at Old Tennent Presbyterian Church on Thursday at 10:00 AM, immediately followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery in Manalapan.
