Obituary of Mary Patricia Skibniewski

Mary Patricia Skibniewski 83, of Indian Shores. FL, passed away at Sunrise Senior Living (Marlboro) on October 8, 2018. Mary was born in New York City in 1935 and graduated from Cathedral High School. After graduation she worked for Manufacturers Hanover Bank before starting her own family.

Mary married Michael J. Skibniewski Sr. on April 30, 1960 and they were happily married for 58 years. Mary had a great love for family and was devout in her Catholic faith. She loved her many Yorkshire terriers, walks on the beach, reading books, and travel. She adored her children and was blessed with a large extended family.

She is survived by her husband Mike Sr., her son Michael Jr. of Old Bridge NJ, her daughter Patricia Eiges Shapiro and her husband Gary Shapiro of Marlboro NJ, her son Mark and his wife Anne Skibniewski of Old Bridge NJ, and her son Paul and his wife Julie Skibniewski of Montclair, NJ. Her surviving grandchildren include Sean Eiges, Michael Skibniewski, Tegan Skibniewski, Matthew Skibniewski, Kiri Skibniewski, Morgen Skibniewski, Drew Skibniewski, Emily Eiges, Nia Skibniewski, Matt Skibniewski Steven Skibniewski, Josh Shapiro, Ross Shapiro and Bradley  Shapiro She is also survived by her brother Hugh Magee and her brother James Magee and his wife Betty. Mary was predeceased by her sisters Helen Doherty and Bridget Farrell.

Visitation will be held On Friday October 12 from 4-8 PM at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main Street in Freehold, NJ. A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday October 13 at 10:30 AM at St. Gabriel's Catholic Historic Church, 549 Route 520 (Newman Springs Road), Marlboro, NJ.
