Obituary of Herbert Francis Hahn jr

Herbert F. Hahn Jr., 91, of Toms River, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014, at home with his family. Born in Syracuse, NY, he lived in Matawan for 45 years before moving to Toms River 18 years ago. He was a proud World War II Marine Corp. veteran and member of the Marine Corp. League. He was also a member of the Washington Fire House, Matawan and the Matawan Special Police. Herb worked for the A&P Supermarket in Franklin Park and Little Silver for over 40 years before retiring. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Ethyl in 2009. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Michael Petyo and granddaughter, Nicole Lynn of Cream Ridge. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, June 19th, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
