Obituary of James Patrick Murtha

James P. Murtha, 55, of San Francisco, CA, passed away on February 26, 2014 at his residence. Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Old Bridge, he resided in San Francisco for the last 25 years. Jim was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, South Amboy and Rutgers University, New Brunswick. He was employed by International Paper for over 30 years. He was very involved in the San Francisco community and several local charities. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Jim was predeceased by his mother, Kathleen, in June 2013. He is survived by his father, John Murtha of Old Bridge; his sister, Maureen Murtha (Mark Blackburn) of Boynton Beach, FL; brothers, Thomas (Pamela) Murtha of Round Rock TX, Dennis (Donna) Murtha of Farmingdale, Timothy (Katie) Murtha of Omaha NE and Paul (Missy) Murtha of Lake Hopatcong; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Jim's memorial service on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11 AM at St. Ambrose Church, 96 Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge.
