Been thinking about you, Duane, a lot lately. I've been up to New Jersey a half dozen times or so since your passing and always find myself remembering all the hilarious stories you would tell Paula and I. Its been many years since I've seen or talked to Duane. We were friends in junior high and high school. I met him through Mary Logan and we had many great times together. He was always such a sweetheart! I have very fond memories of him and have wondered how he was doing over the years. Although we lost touch, he will forever be in my heart! My condolances go out to his family and friends and all that loved him!

It has been a long time since I've talked to Duane but his passing has really hit home with me. Life is short, too short and Duane will be missed. Though we grew apart after I moved to California, Duane was one of my very few friends back in high school. I often thought of him over the years and will continue to do so as he was a true friend and a great person. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.

Duane was my friend for 30 years and also my long time partner for 15 years.My love.We traveled the world together.We loved the beach,Atlantic City,Concerts,Walks in the park,biking,boating,surfing,dining and way to much to write.It would be a book.He loved life.We had so much in common.He was my best friend and still is.I can not express the loss of this man.He was so funny,silly full of life.He shared every thing with me.Things people will never know.He stood by my side to the minute of his passing.He was beautiful,thoughtful,generous,hard working,compassionate,loving,caring,romantic,everything and more.He loved racing,beaching,gardening,cooking,fishing.He loved me,his family,my son,our pets.He loved life.He was full of enery.We never stopped.He was so good to me my family and especially my grandma.He was a wonderful person in every way shape and form.I can not express the loss of him.There are no words.I am so lucky to have had all this time with him.He told me I was his one and only true love he ever had.I believe him.I know this man better then anyone on this earth and thank god every day for the relationship we shared.It was the most beautiful thing I ever had.He was my rock.We spent every minute we could ever get together.I love him deeply.Always will.I miss him terribly.It has been days feels like years.When he left a huge part if not all my heart went with him.I will love,miss care about,think daily about him until the day we meet again.Duane baby I will never get over you leaving way to soon.I love you baby.Always did always will.I want you back.I know I can not have that.Always know you had a huge impact on my life and I will cry forever for you and a day more.I feel you.I love you.I miss you.I adore you.You were my angel on earth and now my angel in heaven.Duane I love you more then you will ever know.I can not wait to see you again.I will see you again.My sweetest dearest love of my life.Forever and a day.XXXOOO.I LOVE YOU DUANE BURLEW.My deepest condolences to duanes family.Every time I feel the sun or see the ocean I will know you are there with me.You are my angel duane.

Dear Karen & brothers, I am so saddened to hear of the tragic death of your brother Duane. I met Duane at a wedding a few years ago. It was a relative of Valerie's. He didn't really remember me, but then when we talked a little bit he remembered my mom, Aunt Annie. It seems like your mom just passed and now your baby brother. My prayers are with all of you. Duane was my neice's long time partner, we saw him quite a few times over the years at my brother Tim's house. He was always enthusiastic about the trips he took with Valerie, and so full of life.
We hired him to do some work in our bathroom, and I was so impressed with how hard he worked, and how fast he moved! I was so glad that Val had someone that loved her so much, and took such good care of her.
