Obituary of John Michael Duffy

John M. Duffy, 77, of Staten Island, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014, in Manalapan. Born in Brooklyn, he has resided on Staten Island for most of his life. He was a New York City Firefighter for Engine Company 151 Staten Island for 31 years before retiring in 1996. He was predeceased by his three siblings, Mary Garrison and Jim and Frank Duffy. He is survived by his wife, Rose; his three children, John of Colts Neck, NJ, Rose Billiy of Manalapan, NJ, and Gina Orosz of Staten Island; and 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 5th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
