Obituary of Lewis Patrick York

Lewis P. York, 81, of Manalapan, passed away on Friday, December 13th, 2013, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born and raised in Elizabeth, he has resided in Manalapan for the past 48 years. He was a Korean War Army veteran. Lew was an ironworker for Anchor Fence of South Jersey, Cinnaminson, for many years before retiring. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eleanor; his three children, Keith of Manalapan, Kevin of Howell and Veronica York of Manalapan; a granddaughter, Jenna York of Bethesda, MD; and sister, Nancy Gallos of Port St. Lucie, FL. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, December 16th, from 2 to 4 and & 7 to 9 PM and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 AM followed by entombment at Holmdel Mausoleum, Holmdel.
