Obituary of Anthony J. Dvoracsek

Anthony J. Dvoracsek, 92, of Southbury, Connecticut, formerly of Colts Neck, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at home while recovering from heart surgery. Born in Mexico City, Mexico, he had resided in Colts Neck for over 50 years before moving to Southbury in 2011. He was a World War II Army veteran participating in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a longtime member of the Colts Neck Senior Citizens Club. Tony was a head tool and die maker at Ford Motor Company in Edison for 30 years before retiring in 1979. He was an avid model ship builder and he loved animals, especially his two cats, Shadow and Tobie. Tony was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, the former Margaret Greene, in 2010. He is survived by his children, Margaret and her husband, John, of Southbury, CT and their children, Michael and his wife, Lori, and Christopher, and Peter Dvoracsek and his wife, Tanya Zarow of Freehold and their children, Anton and Sean and his wife, Jade; and three great grandchildren, Scarlett Dvoracsek and Samantha and Daniel McKulsky. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, Dec. 5th, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A committal service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Wounded Warriers.
