Obituary of John Chegus

John Chegus Sr., of Manalapan, passed away on August 5, 2013, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. Born in Colver, Pennsylvania, he has resided in Manalapan for most of his life. He was a World War II Navy veteran. John was a welder for Merck & Co. in Rahway for over 33 years. John is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia; his two sons and a daughter-in-law, John Jr. of Manalapan and Steven and Dina of South Brunswick; and five grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM, at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM, at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Englishtown. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Millstone Township.
