Obituary of Bonnie Kay Putz

Bonnie K. Putz (Berge) passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, three days shy of her 78th birthday. Mrs. Putz was born in South Dakota to Sybil and Ansel Berge, she was raised in Minneapolis, MN. She met the love of her life, Anthony Putz, in 1953 and they married in Paterson, NJ in 1954. Bonnie was predeceased by her parents; her siblings, Darlene Bogert and Dennis Berge; niece, Cheryl Bogert; and beloved Aunt Betty Walker. Bonnie will fondly be remembered for her generous heart, compassion for those in need, and the love for her family, especially her grandchildren who affectionately called her "Mima". Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, Tony Putz; her children and their spouses, Linda and Michael Attanasio of Howell, Laura and Anthony D'Urso of Morganville, and Anthony and Beth Putz of Hawthorne; six grandchildren, Christina and Alyssa D'Urso, Loriana and Erica Attanasio, and Amanda and Ryan Putz. She also leaves behind her favorite grand-pets, AJ and Andy. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, July 26th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, July 27th, at 10 AM, at St. Gabriel's Historic Church, Marlboro. Interment will follow at Hazel Wood Cemetery, Rahway.
