Obituary of Anthony James Galla

Anthony James Galla, 31, of Mount Carmel, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in Upper Darby, PA. Born on Staten Island, NY, he was raised in Manalapan, graduated from Manalapan High School in 1999, and received a degree in Criminal Justice from Lackawanna College. He was a member of the Marine Corps Reserve for six years. Anthony resided in Mount Carmel, PA for the past five years and was a patrolman for the State of Pennsylvania. Anthony was an active church member and was known for his sense of humor and "do good for his fellow man" nature. Anthony loved cars, especially his Mustang. He also loved sports and his favorite teams were the NY Jets, NY Mets, and the Philadelphia Flyers. Anthony's favorite holiday was Christmas; he looked forward to it all year.
He is survived by his parents, Dominick Jr. and Jacqueline Galla of Manalapan; his siblings, Sandi Brown of Palm Harbor, FL, Dominick Galla III of Drexel Hill Park, PA, and Megan Galla of Manalapan.
Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, June 5th, from 4 to 8 PM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, June 6th, at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Englishtown. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
