Irene E. Rofrano, 87, of Monroe Township, passed away on April 23, 2013, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born on Staten Island, she lived in Leisure Village, Manchester, before moving to Monroe 12 years ago. Irene was an executive secretary for Marsh & McClennan Inc. in Manhattan before retiring.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, in 1992. She is survived by her four children, Christine and Peter Flanagan of Sumter, SC, Jacqueline and Scott Van Velson of Hazlet, Arthur and Carol Ann Rofrano of Manalapan, and Madeline and Rick Barry of Goshen, NY; her sister, Anna Giles of Hicksville, NY; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Friday, April 26th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, April 27th, at 10 AM, at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment will be private.
