Beryl A. Tamlyn, 88, of Manalapan, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, after a five-year courageous battle with cancer. Born in Manchester, England, she lived in Syosset, NY, before moving to Manalapan 20 years ago. She was a payroll supervisor with the Singer Company in Syosset before retiring.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, in 1982. She is survived by her children, Charles of Sunset Beach, NC, Martin and his companion, Marcy Drexler of Lindenhurst, NY, Nancy Derr and her husband, Michael of Manalapan, and Susan Kanowitz and her husband, Michael of Commack, NY; and four grandchildren, April, Jessica, Andrew and Michele.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, June 11th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, with a service during the evening visitation, at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the American Cancer Society.
