Salvatore Bonfiglio, 85, of Manalapan, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he moved to Manalapan 14 years ago. He was a World War II Army veteran. Sal worked on Staten Island, NY, for the NYC Transit Authority for many years before retiring in 1986.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Toni Spedale, and his brother, John. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Donna; his children, Victor, Joseph, Steven, Antonio, Rachel and Matthew; his brothers, Joseph and Paul; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, April 10th, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated
on Thursday, April 11th, at 10 AM, at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to CentraState Healthcare Foundation, 916 Route 33, Suite 6, Freehold, NJ 07728.
