Obituary of Jesus Antonio Garcia

Jesus Antonio Garcia, 89, died February 6, 2013, surrounded by his family, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. He was born in Muros, Spain and lived in Edison for 45 years before moving to Marlboro in 1996. Jesus was a longshoreman at Port Newark and Port Elizabeth with Local #1235 from 1951 until his retirement in 1989. Jesus was predeceased by his parents, Josefa and Yldefonso; his brothers, Ramon, Yldefonso, Manuel and Jose; and his sisters, Zoila and Josefa. Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Gloria (Calvo); son Carlos and his wife Diane of Edison, daughter Diane Hungridge and her husband Robert of Manalapan, and son Bruce and his wife Maureen of Brick; sister and her husband Filomena and Robert Calvo of Rockaway, NJ and sister-in-law Diamond Garcia of Boca Raton, FL. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Matthew, Bryan, Elizabeth, Megan and many nieces and nephews. Private cremation has been arranged by Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
