Obituary of Robyn Sue Monahan
Please share a memory of Robyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robyn Sue Korey Monahan, 55, of Philadelphia, formerly of Marlboro and passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She lived the first 28 years of her life in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn where she attended Abraham Lincoln High School and was co-captain of the cheerleading squad. Before having children, she was a graphic designer and her work appeared in magazines such as Brides, Glamour, and other Conde Nast publications. In 1985, Robyn moved to Marlboro and raised her family. In 2003, Robyn moved in Inglis House in Philadelphia.
She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Korey and her father, Stanley Korey. Robyn leaves behind
her husband, Eliot Spindel, her mother, Eileen Korey, her brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Maria Korey; sister and brother-in-law, Jill Korey and Michael O'Sullivan; her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Monahan and Ian Glaubinger, daughter Emily Monahan, and son, Michael Monahan; and nieces, Anna and Olivia O'Sullivan.
Robyn enjoyed going out on trips to movies, musicals, concerts and restaurants. Being the kind of person she was, thinking of others, it was her request that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Inglis Foundation, c/o Development Office, 2600 Belmont Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131 and note that donation is for Social Enrichment Progam Trips.
