Obituary of Warren Joseph Thorpe

Warren J. Thorpe, 86, of Manalapan, passed away on December 8, 2012, at CareOne at Holmdel. Born in Weehawkin, he has resided in Manalapan for the past 45 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran who served his country for 23 years. Warren was chief engineer for the Mary Manning Walsh Nursing Home in Manhattan for 12 years before retiring. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary, and his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jennifer of Old Bridge. Family and friends may visit today from 3 to 5 PM and Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30 AM followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
