Obituary of Lucie M Lespinasse
Please share a memory of Lucie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with sadness for us and exultation for her that Our Mother, Lucie Lespinasse (Loula), nee Bellande, has joined her beloved husband Cpt Lucien and her daughters, Dyliane and Rose-Marie in Heaven on June 24. Born on Valentine's Day in Jacmel, Haiti she exemplified the true meaning of Love never wavering from her devotion to her family who always came first. Having lost her husband at an early age, she uprooted her seven children and came to America in order to give them the opportunities that would not be available in an oppressive and brutal political regime. Faith, Honor, Respect, Loyalty and Hard work were at the forefront of her beliefs and she instilled those values in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her children and spouses, Nadege and George Skalski, Lionel Lespinasse and Mary Cruz, Gary and Christine Lespinasse, Ghislaine Lespinasse-Bond, and Marie-Florence and William Aldrich. Her grandchildren Joelle Maximilien-Miller and Aaron, Gregory Maximilien and Regina, Jean-Pierre Lespinasse and Brynn, Cedric, Danielle, Brianna and Alexandre Lespinasse, Michaelle and Cameron Bond, Francesca and Everett Aldrich and great-grandchildren Monique and Jasmine Maximilien, Stefan, Zavier and Anita Miller, and Hudson Lespinasse occupied an unparalleled place in her heart. She lovingly proclaimed that the successes of the family originated from her "good genes". Also at her side during the last days were her devoted nieces Elisabeth Guilbaud-Cox and Bettina Bellande. She leaves behind uncountable friends made over nine decades and family members who loved her and cherished her incredible memory. Her past neighbors would come back to see Grandma Lucie and she always remembered the smallest details about their lives. Her mantra to her family Je t'aime, Je t'adore will always resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. Loula was a rare treasure that will shine forever.
Visitation will be at Freeman Funeral Home at 344 Rt 9 N in Manalapan on July 2 from 4-8 PM, with a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday July 3 at 10:30 AM at St Thomas More, RC Church in Manalapan. If so inclined contributions in her honor may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America 2000 L Street, NW Suite 410 Washington DC 20036 or Habitat For Humanity 45 South St, Freehold NJ 07728
