Obituary of John B. McCormack

John B. McCormack, 73, of Manalapan, passed away on April 17, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. John was born in New York and resided in Sayreville from 1971 - 2016 until settling in Manalapan 2 years ago. John had a long career in finance previously working for Congress Factor, C.I.T. Group and retiring as a Senior Vice President of Sterling National Bank in New York City, NY. He served as the President of the Financemans Club of NYC, was the former Board President of St. Mary's High School in South Amboy and served as the Finance Chairman at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church. In addition, he and Marie hosted St. Bernadette's Pre Cana for twenty years.
John was predeceased by his parents William and Hannah McCormack. He is survived by his wife Marie of 53 years; son James; daughters Christine Maltzman and Stacy Mc Cormack Costa; grandchildren John Andrew Costa, Ava, Mia, and Jack Maltzman; beloved cousin Helen Magnant. He dedicated his life to his family as a husband, father and grandfather.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Thurs, April 19, from 4 pm - 8 pm, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, NJ. A funeral service will be held at 11 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colts Neck. Entombment of cremains will follow at St. Gabriel's Cemetery at a later date.
