Obituary of Rose Richardson

Rose Alvira Richardson was born December 26, 1921 in La Boca, Canal Zone and passed away on Friday March 9, 2018. She was born to Thomas and Sarah Cole and as a young child migrated with her family to Kingston, Jamaica. She attended Mico Elementary Practicing School, and then went to St. Andrews High School for Girls in Kingston and also Buxton Senior High School in Kingston. After finishing school she worked at Rance Stores, she met and married Daniel Richardson and then migrated to Panama City, Panama. After some time she migrated to the US and lived in Brooklyn, NY for many years. She was a homemaker and also worked for many years at an answering service company on Broadway, NY. She then worked with JP Morgan for many years on Wall Street. She retired and moved to Fayetteville. North Carolina and lived there for 17 years, then moved and lived in Poinciana, FL. After five years she moved to Manalapan, NJ and lived there for six years. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel Richardson in May of 2017 and five of her siblings. She is survived by two of her siblings: Evadney Milton of Panama City, Panama and Joseph Cole of Brooklyn, NY. Surviving are her loving children Rose Marie Bogle of Poinciana, FL; Joan Thompson of Manalapan, NJ; Chela Richards of Richmond Hill, GA; Fitz Richardson of Brooklyn, NY; and Kenneth Richardson of Hempstead, NY; and seven grandchildren: Michael, Jan-O'Neil, Chris, Kenneth, Shari, Kenneth Jr. and Crystal; and four great-grandchildren: Nichole, Jaydakiss, Jayce and Wyatt. To mourn and cherish her memory are her sons in law: Linton, Derek, and Kenneth; her daughters in law Margarita and Lisa; her nephews and nieces; specially her niece Beverly who was like a daughter to her; and many dear friends. We already miss her very much. The void in our lives will never be filled.
