Obituary of Barbara Joan Szeles

Barbara "Meemom" Szeles, nee Wallace, 80, of Manalapan, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in New Brunswick, she lived in Edison and Metuchen before moving to Manalapan in 1991. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan. Barbara was known as Manalapan's "Meemom" and was a proud supporter of Manalapan baseball. "You knew the game was official when Meemom and Pop came down with their chairs. Manalapan has lost their greatest fan." Her greatest loves were her family, her three grandchildren, and her many Manalapan "grandkids". She loved them all. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Wallace. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert "Pop"; her daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Wayne Kreiger; three grandchildren, Kyle, Brittany and Nicholas; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit Friday, from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 PM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:00 AM, at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan. If friends desire, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital
