Obituary of Joan Ann Popadiuk

Joan Popadiuk, 77 of Morganville passed away at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. She was born and raised in Queens, New York before settling in Marlboro 50 years ago. Joan worked for several years in the 1960's at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, New York and in the 1980's at Steinbach's in Manalapan. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Joan treasured spending countless hours with her three grandchildren, was an avid-cat-lover, scrabble player, and found joy researching her family ancestry. Joan was predeceased by her brother Frank Wenz. She is survived by her husband Robert; son Kenneth Preston and wife Kristine; son Douglas Pope and wife Maria; son Brian Popadiuk; sister Marie Wenz; grandchildren Jack & Abby Pope and Phoebe Preston. The viewing will be Thursday, January 18th, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral mass will be Friday, January 19th, 11:00 am at the St. Gabriel's Main Church. Entombment will follow at the St. Gabriel's Cemetery in Marlboro, NJ.
