I met Stephanie about six years ago at work. At first, I did not know how to take her, she was very frank and forthright, and I could not have imagined our relationship would have blossomed into what it is. This woman turned out to be one of my most favorite people in my life. No matter who she was talking to, she was so connected to them, and they appreciated her frank conversations, and loved her with all their hearts. There were so many times words would come out of her mouth, and, having heard them, you thought to yourself, "Did she just say that?!". I have shared so many laughs with this woman, she made coming to work enjoyable, and she was such a team player. The innocence she had at times, was refreshing, yet hysterical. I would also tease her because she would always say, when making a decision about something, "Well, my sister Helen said..." I thought to myself, who is this sister Helen?! Not knowing what an amazing and wonderful sister she is, and sometimes, we even agreed- Helen and I! What a blessing to have spent time with both of them before Steph's passing.
I had started stopping by her house on Saturdays after my workouts, and she was always ready for me. Granted, I walked in and made my own coffee, but we would just sit and chat. I am so sad I did not start this sooner, and that I did not take advantage of being able to see her.
Andrew, thank you for taking the time to meet me at the Estate Sale, and for keeping us apprised of your mother's condition changes. You are an angel, and need to be recognized as such. I will keep you in my thoughts and meditations, as well as your family with the baby on the way.
I could go on for hours and pages about the many beautiful and carefree moments I have had with this amazing woman. Stephanie will NEVER be forgotten.
