Obituary of Ernest Arthur Adell

Ernest Arthur Adell Jackson Township Ernest A. Adell, 72, of Jackson Township, passed away at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital on Sunday, September 17, 2017. He was born and raised in Old Bridge and was a lifelong resident before moving to Jackson 12 years ago. He attended and graduated from Sayreville High School. Ernie retired as a Lieutenant from the Old Bridge Police Department after 31 years of service. He was a member of the Men's Club, Golf Club and the Bocce League of the South Knolls Community in Jackson. Ernie enjoyed the annual July 4th bar-b-ques at his home and family vacations at LBI. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Mary Adell; sister-in- law Pat Adell and brother-in-law Don Borst. Ernie is survived by Brenda, his wife of 48 years; daughter Leanne and spouse Shelly Wilson; daughter Kate and spouse Ken Blue; brother John and sister-in-law Sandie, brother Dennis; sister Andrea; sister Arlene and brother-in-law Tom McLaughlin and grandson Lucas Blue. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, September 21st from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Freemans Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home located at 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral service will be held September 22nd at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
