Peter C. Barcia, 89, of Freehold, Passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, he had resided in Freehold for nearly 50 years. Before his retirement, Peter was an electrician and communications specialist with Local #3 IBEW.
He is predeceased by his parents Peter and Mary Barcia; and his wife Mary. He is survived by his children, Christopher Barcia of Freehold, Peter Barcia and Tim Horn of Asbury Park, Stephanie and Thomas Dussel of Glen Head, NY, and Gabrielle Barcia and Raymond Mulhern of Freehold; his grandchildren, Marisa, Samantha, and Andrew Dussel; Nicholas Barcia-DiMeo, Maria Barcia; Alex, Zack, and Raymond Mulhern.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Thursday, September 7th at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main St. Freehold. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, September 8th at 12:00 PM at Sacred Hearts & St. Stephen Church, Brooklyn. Interment will follow at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Eden II/Genesis Foundation, serving children and young adults with autism, 600 Newbridge Road, East Meadow, NY 11554.
