Obituary of Lawrence Frederick Slawson

Lawrence Slawson, 87 of Farmingdale, passed away on July 29th, 2017 at Preferred Care, Wall, NJ. Born in Franklin, NY, he was a resident of Farmingdale most of his life. He was a graduate of Cornell University and then served as a Lieutenant in the Navy from 1955 to 1957. Lawrence was employed by Fort Monmouth as a project manager for the US Army Electronics Command before retiring in 1990. He was an elected official to the school board and served as a Councilman for the Borough of Farmingdale. Lawrence was a parishioner at St. Mary's By-The-Sea, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. Lawrence was predeceased by his wife Jean in 2010. He is survived by his son Larry and his wife Rose Ann; daughter Nancy Deacon and her husband Nils, daughter Beth Lucas and her husband Greg; grandchildren Kate and Anthony DiFonzo, Matthew and Jen Deacon, Brendan Slawson, Meghan and Donald Rogers, Kerry Slawson, Jacob Lucas, Carly Lucas; and 4 great grandchildren Michael, Leo, Brynn and Antonio.
