Obituary of Sandra C Wegelin

Sandra C. Wegelin, age 61 of Manalapan passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 15, 2017. Born in Trenton, she was a life long resident of Colts Neck and Manalapan and a member of the Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, Manalapan. She had served as a Trustee for the Old Tennent Cemetery.
Sandy was predeceased by her parents, Howard and Joyce Camden. Surviving is her loving husband and best friend of 36 years, Phil Wegelin and daughter Jessica Wegelin, who was her pride and joy. She is also survived by two brothers, Delvin Camden and Elizabeth of Lawrenceville and Ron Camden of Manalapan.
Sandy was a caring, thoughtful, and loyal person. She was blessed with many lasting professional and personal relationships. Sandy touched so many people's lives and left lifelong impressions with them. Many of her friends offered encouragement and support during a recent illness and Sandy, as well as her family, will be forever grateful. Sandy enjoyed playing tennis and took a fondness to golden retrievers. She served as a volunteer for the Monmouth County Park System, Special People United to Ride (SPUR), and was a devote supporter of Canine Companions for Independence.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 18th from 5:00 - 9:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main Street, Freehold. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 19th at 11 am at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, Colts Neck.
