Khrys' legacy was strong and powerful even before birth ... detailing the combination of letters for her name 'KHRYS' ... 'VAUGHAN' honoring Mildred's close cousin, 'Vaughan Walling' ... 'TEIGLAND' Norwegian for 'JACOBSEN'. Khrys never took for granted being a 'gift' to so many. Her Dad's pride and joy ... Harold would cuddle Khrys in his arms and dance in front of the victrola in the farmhouse living room on Harmony Road, jiggling rhythm with the catchy tune of some of his favorites, "Drinkin' Rum and Coca Cola', 'Bluebird of Happiness' and 'Naho Tenho Ligrimas', Spanish for 'NO MORE TEARS'. Precious, beautiful little girl grew to be precious, beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, friend and 'sister'. Christmas Eve family/friend gatherings, delicious homemade Scandinavian food, and Christmas Carols for the entire neighborhood to enjoy from outdoor treetop speakers. Everybody's little girl at their popular roller skating rink, 'SINGING WHEELS ARENA' in Shrewsbury. Harold, Mildred, Harold Jr., Alan, Khrys, Randy, Reliance and Neil .. forever missed, always loved, and remembered by many. Khrys and Bert were so proud of their children. Busting at the seams with pride and love for Augusta (Gussie), Bert Jr. and grandson, Kenny. Forever back to you, Khrys, for the love, attention, pride, friendship, and always being there for us. I know I can still count on your strength and love from above, 'cuz I know what a powerful lady you are! Bert, Rob, Gussie, and Kenny ... all my love and lotsa' hugs!
