Mary Kalellis, 90, of Bricktown, passed away on February 25th, 2017. Born in Passaic, Mary was a resident of Westfield before settling in Bricktown. She worked at Wachovia as a banker before retiring. While at Wachovia, she earned several achievement awards for her outstanding work and performance. Mary was a parishioner of the St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Toms River. Mary loved painting, needlepoint, and other art forms. Her creativity was evident in her home and her approach to life. Her vegetable garden and flowerbeds were a testament to her passion for gardening. Mary was delighted to be a grandmother and ecstatic to be a great grandmother. Mary is survived by her daughter Mersene Stapp and son in law Chuck; son Michael and daughter in law Carolynn; son Basil; sister Anna Marlys; brother George Burlotos; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 28th, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. The funeral service will be at 10 am on Wednesday, March 1st at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, Toms River. Interment will take place at the Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
