Obituary of David E Sautters

David Sautters of Freehold, after surviving many health issues, died peacefully at home on February 16, 2017 at the age of 75. David was born in Coal Twp., PA to Eugene M. Sautters and Ida Cameron Van Liew (both deceased) on April 4, 1941.
David was raised in New Brunswick,NJ, served in the U.S. Air Force, met Jean Gwiazdowski at Rider College where he received a BS Degree.
David and Jean have been married 51 years. Together they have a daughter, Cynthia Bowen, and grandchildren Katie 18, Christopher 16 and Matthew 16 who reside in River Ridge, LA. David's brother, Terry Sautters and wife Carol reside in Appomattox, VA.
David moved from Hopewell and Titusville, NJ to Freehold Twp. in 1968 where he spent over 40 years at Freehold Savings Bank retiring as CEO. He has served on many local boards and currently on the Board of Trustees for Monmouth County Historical Association.
David loved cruising the world, golfing with friends at Knob Hill CC and, in the past, Battleground CC. He enjoyed collecting stamps and most of all lunch with "the boys".
Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday February 26, from 2:00 - 6:00 PM at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Monday at 10:00 AM, with burial immediately following at Brigadier General William C.
