Obituary of Vincent G Chaney

Vincent G. Chaney, 92, died on February 15, 2017 at St. Peter's Hospital, New Brunswick. Mr. Chaney was born in Perth Amboy and grew up in Woodbridge, then moved to East Brunswick in 1952 before settling in Toms River in 1997. He and his wife, Joan, enjoyed spending their winter months at their home in Kissimmee, Florida since 1985.
Vincent proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war he was employed as a Production Manager for Ecolabs in South Plainfield. Vincent was an active member, and past commander, of the VFW post in Woodbridge. He was outgoing, friendly, and loved by all who met him.
Mr. Chaney was predeceased by his wife Joan in 2005, and his nine siblings. He was a wonderful father to his children and their spouses Vincent and Michele Chaney of Old Bridge; and Peggy and Joseph Guiliano of Manalapan. He was an adoring grandfather to his four grandchildren, Brianne, Charles, Maria, and Michael Guiliano.
Friends and family are invited to visit Freeman Funeral Home 47 E. Main Street, Freehold, on Tuesday, February 21 from 2 to 4 pm, and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am at St. Joseph's Church, Millstone; followed by entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 840 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
