Obituary of Joseph Allen Scaturro

Joseph A. Scaturro, 27, of Manalapan, passed away on December 22nd, 2016. Born in New York City, Joseph was a lifelong resident of Manalapan. He was a 2007 graduate from Manalapan High School and a member of the Manalapan Varsity Basketball team. Joseph studied Sports Management and graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He is survived by his parents Saverio and Susan Scaturro; sister Janine and brother in law FDNY firefighter Joseph Proscia; sister Jaclyn and boyfriend Ben Hartman; maternal grandmother Helen Hansen; paternal grandparents Giuseppe and Biagia Scaturro; nephew of Rosalia and Salvatore Imperato; and his faithful companion Tyson. Visitation will be Monday, December 26, from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. The funeral liturgy will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, December 27 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel.
