So sorry to hear about your loss. Stu was always a friendly, generous and jolly guy and it was an honor and pleasure to have worked with him. I also remember fondly how we tapped a funny video for the BNY Mellon employee awards, fun times. He was taken much too soon, but hopefully he is resting now.

I am deeply sorry to hear such sad news about a great guy like Stu. He was always upbeat, funny and positive ....even when he was angry about something there was a funny side to it. He was honest and spoke his mind. He was hardworking and smart. Above all he was a great human being who always spoke about his family with love and cared about everyone. I haven't seen him since I left The Bank of New York five years ago but I considered him a great work Friend. My prayers go out to his family. The world has lost a great guy. Diana Breunig

Stu was like family to us , we were lucky to be neighbors with Stu and the rest of his family . There really are no words to describe the tremendous loss we all feel. Stu would always brighten the room when he walked in. We were lucky to spend many of our children's most important moments together . We will keep Stus memory alive with the many wonderful memories we've shared together . Love the Donadios

On Saturday, we lost a dear friend. There is no one that had a bigger heart than Stu. One of the true good guys. He took a chance on a brash young punk (his words not mine) back in 1989 and gave me my start in Mutual Funds Custody. He was a great boss and a great leader. He showed us all how it should be done. Over years we became friends. From seeing Andrew Dice Clay at Radio City, to playing cards at his house, and family events (Alex's Bar Mitzvah and Samantha's Wedding), he was so much fun to be around. His sense of humor was infectious. He did many impersonations but my all time favorites were Ethel Merman and The Frankenstein Monster's "Putting on the Ritz".
Jody, Samantha, Jessica, and Alex know that Stu touched many of us and he will be immensely missed. I not only lost a mentor but I lost a friend. His family meant the world to him. Not a conversation went by when we didn't talk about our families. We'd speak every couple of weeks and in true Stu Fashion- he made me feel better when I was trying to cheer him up. He will never be forgotten.
Dr. Stu- you fought the good fight. Please rest easy my friend.
"Little" Terry Farrell

I had the honor and privledge to work with Stu for the last 28 years. Stu was a man of character who loved his job, and treated everyone with respect and kindness. He was always willing to roll up his sleeves and go the extra mile to get the job done right. His laughter was contageous. He love for chinese food was known by all at work. I would always return a favor he did for me with a nice Chinese food lunch. Stu was alway smiling and happy and was a straight shooter. I learned so much from Stu, not only job related, but life lessons too. In the face of adversity Stu would look head on and never back down. There was always a solution to the problem and we would find it no matter what it took. Stus tenacity rubbed off on me. I still have the picture of Stu and Masao that was photo shopped that makes me smile each time I look at it. May you rest well my friend until we meet again. You will be missed by many and loved by all. God Speed.

Seldom in life do you meet a person who leaves a true and lasting impression. Stu "Big Stu" Rosenberg left an impression on me from the first time I met him those many years ago. Sure Stu was a big man in stature but he was also a big hearted man who told it like it was. Whether it was being in his TV room on Super Bowl Sunday or at my place on Christmas Eve Stu, Jodi and all the kids were a true pleasure to have in our company at anytime and anywhere. His musical appreciation and singing talent was another thing I will never forget as he was the instant musical DJ very often singing or talking about songs that came on the radio or played at a party. Stu was also always right there with a joke or a funny comment no matter who was around Stu was a truly funny man in the manner of a Rodney Dangerfield, whom Stu would often immitate, quite well as a matter of fact.
Stu has left us all too soon and for that I am truly saddened. I will miss Big Stu for that man truly loved his family, his job and whom it was always a pleasure to be around. God Bless you Stu as you will be truly missed. My daughter loved Stu and the entire Rosenberg family and as with my Kristina Stu, like I with his daughter where I consider Samantha as my third daughter likewise I know he thought of my Kristina exactly the same way within his family. You're a good man Stu I will never forrget you. Joe McAleer

I wish I wasn't so far and could come down. After moving out of Brooklyn in the early 70s, Stu and I drifted apart. I visited a few times the next few years and then could only think about our friendship for many years. Turn the clock ahead to the early 2000s, and it was sort of my mission, "Finding Stuie." I'd found some old friends on the Internet--but not Stu. Then I struck paydirt on Classmates.com and was so glad to receive a call. Then we became friends on Facebook and it was so good to see his smiling face. We go back to the 60s and a very young age, playing stickball (he had a great fastball, I had the curve), softball, basketball, football...everything. Hours and hours in the schoolyard. Then home for dinner and back to play more ball. Hebrew school: Stuie and I played against the rest of the school in punchball. 2 on however-many. We never lost. Hit a few home runs for me up there, will ya?

Stu you will be missed! I will always remember the hard and fun work in Brussels and Frankfurt, when I first joined and the support and knowledge you brought to the table. Eating mussels with the team also brings a smile to my face and the other good meals we enjoyed together with the teams. My heart goes out to your family as they celebrate your good life. I am sending my deepest sympathies to the Rosenberg family on the passing of Stuart. Stu and I worked together when I was at Bank of New York Mellon. We worked in Mutual Funds Custody Administration as it was called at the time. I will always remember his great sense of humor and joke telling. He had a way of breaking up the tension of a busy, hectic day and had all of us laughing along with him. He was generous with his knowledge and an amazing leader. Although we had not been in touch since I left the Bank two years ago, I will miss him as will all of us who knew him for the warm, caring and giving person that he was.

Stuart was a great friend, family man and human being. He was honest and hard working as he was fun loving. He will be greatly missed by all whom he ever made contact. Our family is praying for Stu, Jody and his loved ones. He left a mark which we all would like to be remembered: I dare anyone to think of Stu for 30 seconds and not smile. May God hold him in the palm of his hand.
