Obituary of Helena M Martone

Helena M. Martone, 86, of Seabrook Village in Tinton Falls, NJ passed away Sunday, August 21st, 2016 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Palmer, MA to John and Annie Szuba, Helena resided in Apalachin, NY, Hillsborough, NJ, and Lexington KY prior to moving to Seabrook 12 years ago. Helena was predeceased by her husband, James F. Martone in 1995. Surviving are her children Mary A. Gross and husband Carl, Daniel P. Martone and his wife Aris, and her daughter Linda Martone, as well as her three grandchildren, Zachary Gross, Monique Martone, and Yvette Martone. She is also survived by her sisters Jean Gentile, Irene Warren, and great nephew Michael Prashad. She is survived by her sister in-law Eleanor Szuba who was married to the late John Szuba. Helena's life was devoted to her husband, her special daughter Linda, her children, and her grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic, a communicant of Holy Innocents Church, and a member of the Legion of Mary. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday August 24th, at 10:30 AM at Holy Innocents Church, 3455 W Bangs Ave, Neptune. Friends may gather at the church to greet the family from 9:45 AM. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital", 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 038105 or to "Special Strides Therapeutic Riding Center" which provides equine therapy for special needs children, 118 Federal Road, Monroe, NJ 08831.
