Obituary of Patricia M Pope

Patricia Pope, 84, of Tinton Falls, was called home Tuesday, July 19, 2016. Born in Freehold, Patricia was a long time resident of Colts Neck Township. She graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School in 1949, and had a lifetime career at Fort Monmouth. Known as 'Pat' by those close to her, she was an avid golfer, bowler and sports enthusiast. She had traveled to Ireland for the love of her Irish heritage and the game of golf. Pat was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church for over 70 years. Patricia is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Pope, her parents, George and Teresa Capra, and beloved brother, George Capra. She is survived by her nephew and his wife, John and Lisa Capra, nieces, Cathleen Capra, Nancy Cawley and Laura Capra and her husband, John DiPietro. Her grand niece, Morgan Cawley and grand nephews, Jonathan and Michael Capra and sister-in-law, Jeannette Capra. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday at Freeman's Funeral Home, 47 East Main St, Freehold. A funeral mass will be offered at 10am, Saturday at St. Mary's Church, Colts Neck and interment will follow at St Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
