Obituary of James E Patterson

James E. Patterson, 79, of Elkton, MD, passed away suddenly at Christiana Hospital, on Saturday, June 11, 2016. Born in Freehold, NJ on October 23, 1936, James was the son of the late Jack and Lola V. (Madagan) Patterson. He worked as a manager for Shop Rite for many years in New Jersey, West Chester, Pennsylvania and Newark, Delaware. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a daughter and son. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Barbara Patterson of Elkton; son, Jack (Donna) of Toms River, NJ; stepsons, Ron Mauthe (Melinda) and Steven Mauthe (Lisa) of Newark DE; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be held from 7 to 9 pm on Monday, June 20th, 2016 at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold.
