Obituary of Theresa Rose Ambrose

Theresa (Terry) Rose Ambrose entered eternal life Saturday, May 7, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold. Born in New York City on March 19, 1935, to her parents, Frank and Gladys Mann, married William J Ambrose in 1957, and moved to Freehold a few years later where she has resided ever since. Prior to her retirement in 2001, she was an administrative assistant for the Judges in the Family Court Division of Monmouth County Courthouse. Terry had a great faith in God and prayer and was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Parish in Freehold. Her most beloved role was that of mother and grandmother to the family she loved so much. Terry was an avid gardener who loved the sunshine. She was also an animal lover with a long list of pets who took her up on her loving heart. Terry was predeceased by her husband, Joe, in 1984 and her son, Billy, in 2014. Surviving are her two daughters and son-in-law, Karen Connelly of Howell, Danielle and Thomas Kelly Jr of Lanoka Harbor, three grandchildren, Heather Xavier and her husband, Dan of Freehold, Tom and Rylie Kelly, of Lanoka Harbor, and three great-granddaughters, Casey, Emily and Zoey Xavier, of Freehold. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, May 11th from 4 - 8 pm at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main St, Freehold. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, May 12th, at St Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
