85 of Manalapan
Antigone Lysandrou, 85, of Manalapan, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016, surrounded by her family at home. Born and lived in Cyprus until 1975, Antigone immigrated to Oceanside, New York before settling in Manalapan in 1999.
She was predeceased by her husband, Panayiotis; she is survived by 8 children: Sofoclis (Chrystalla) Lysandrou, Christina (Olympios) Charalambous, Fanoula (George) Kezios, Iacovos (Maria) Sofocli, Loucas (Danielle) Sofocli, Andreas (Eleni) Sofocli, Despina (Stephan) Filippazzo and Constantino (Kika) Sofocleous; brothers Andreas and Aristides; and adoring Grandmother to nineteen grandchildren & two great granchildren.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, March 22, from 4 to 8 PM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Kimisis Tis Theotokou, 20 Hillcrest Road, Holmdel. A burial at Old Tennent Cemetery will follow.
