Obituary of Diana Lynn Halasz Chiaro

Diana Lynn Halasz Chiaro of Englishtown passed away at home March 7th, 2016 after a courageous battle against cancer. Born in South Amboy, NJ on December 27, 1965 she was a dedicated employee at CentraState Hospital as an advanced nurse practitioner specialist in oncology. Through the years she provided her patients with comfort compassionate care and respect beyond standard treatment. She loved to travel and one of her favorite places was New Orleans - of course jazz and blues were top choice of music. She was a woman of witty humor who lit up the room with her presence and bright smile. Diane is survived by her mother, Dorothy Halasz; her father and his wife, Dennis and Janet Halasz; her ten year old daughter, the love of her life, Madison Chiaro; her siblings, David Halasz, Deborah Finaldi, and Kathleen Halasz; and beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, especially lifelong friend, Valerie Eckhoff - who she referred to as "the wind beneath my wings." Family and friends are invited to visit at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold on Thursday and Friday March 10th and 11th, from 2 to 4 and 7- 9 PM.
