Obituary of Eleanor Margaret Ganter

Eleanor M. Ganter, 85, of Holmdel, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at The Willows in Holmdel. Born in Natrona, Pennsylvania, she resided in Holmdel for 20 years, then lived in Aberdeen for 22 years before moving to the Willows of Holmdel in 2013. She was a communicant of St. Clement Roman Catholic Church in Matawan. Eleanor was a devoted wife and mother. With her great sense of humor, she was often the life of the party. What she loved most was spending time with her family. Eleanor was predeceased by her loving husband Robert, her siblings, Florence, Charles, Mildred, Joe, Jane, Ray, Billy and her daughter-in-law, Jean Ganter. She is survived by her seven children and their spouses; Margaret and Lawrence Burns, Robert Ganter, Thomas and Theresa Ganter, Deborah and Christopher Carbone, Ronald and Patricia Ganter, Michelle and Pete Donhauser and Jennifer and Royden Kleinert; 23 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, February 8th from 3 to 8 pm at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St, Clement Church, Route 79, Matawan. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Mausoleum, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834-1365.
