Obituary of Franklin Joseph Woodfield

Franklin J. Woodfield, 86 of Asbury Park, formerly of Freehold passed away on Monday, January 4th 2016 at Neptune Rehab and Care Center. Born in Freehold he lived most of his life there, before moving to Howell Twp and then to Asbury Park. He attended Freehold High School, worked at A&M Karagheusian Inc. Rug Mill before serving in the US Army during the Korean War. After his military service he worked as a carpenter's helper and farm hand. Most recently he worked for CHECK-MATE INC. of Asbury Park until his retirement. Franklin was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Estella (Anderson) Woodfield; two brothers, Alfred and Clarence Woodfield. He is survived by two sisters, Mary Jane Whalen, of Freehold, and Della Quinn, of Toms River; a sister-in-law, Nina Woodfield, of Howell Twp; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold on Thursday January 7th, from 9-10 AM.
