Obituary of Carol Camardella

Carol Camardella (nee Nittoli) 85, of Manalapan, passed away on Saturday, at home. She was born in Newark, New Jersey and was a graduate of Central High School. She was a resident of Edison for 50 years before recently moving to Manalapan. Carol enjoyed gardening and was well known for her cooking. She loved children and worked as a teacher's aide in Edison for over 40 years. She was predeceased by two sisters, Elaine Mari and Julie Marcell and her brother, Anthony Nittoli. Carol is survived by her loving husband Anthony of 60 years; two daughters, Cynthia Maginnis (Nelson) of North Hanover and Cheryl Hlavenka (Lawrence) of Manalapan; four grandchildren, Lawrence Hlavenka Jr. (Kristy), Jacqueline Hlavenka, Michelle Maginnis and Tyler Maginnis and one great grandchild, Will Hlavenka; three sisters, Marie Frino, Eva Mistretta and Doris Anzano. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, October 27th, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or online at alz.org.
