Obituary of Ernesto Danio

Ernesto "Ernie" Danio, 67, of Manalapan, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold. Born in Salerno, Italy, he lived on Staten Island, NY before moving to Manalapan. He was a proud United States Army Vietnam veteran. Ernie owned and operated Danio's Pizzeria on State Island for many years before retiring. He is survived by his loving wife, the former Elaine Visconti; two children, Anthony and Marie; five siblings, Sal, Gelsomina, Josephine, Alfonso and Luisa; and his adoring grandsons, Anthony and Vincent. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, October 7th, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 8th, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan.
