Obituary of Sarah Shapiro

Sarah Shapiro, 98, of Freehold Township, passed away peacefully at home in Freehold Township. Born in New York City, she lived in Port Charlotte, Florida before moving to Freehold eight years ago. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her. Sarah was predeceased by her husband, Herman, in 1965. She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Barry of Freehold and Bruce and Elizabeth of Tewksbury; her sister, Edith Colon of Florida; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held today at 3:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. Interment will be private. The family would appreciate donations to American Cancer Society.
