Obituary of Ronald J. Pry

Ronald J. Pry, 72, of Marlboro, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in Jacksonville, FL, he has resided in Morganville for the past 47 years. A graduate of Perth Amboy High School in 1961, he received his Captain's License from Houston Marine and was a party boat captain on both the "Cock Robin" and "Norma K" out of Point Pleasant Inlet for many years before retiring. Ron was an avid lover of fishing and hunting.
He was predeceased by his mother, Helen Barsczewski-Pry and his father, Anthony Pry, and his sister, Elaine Adams in August 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Eleanor; his daughter and her husband, Cindy and Bob Zerilli and their children, Julie, Coley and Hayley Okun, all of Manalapan; his daughter and her husband, Cathy and Mark Rhodes of Littleton, NC; his brother, Joseph; brother-in-law, Joe and his wife Pat Deak of Colorado; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, Sept. 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, with a funeral service at 7:30 PM at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
